Cristina is a detail-orientated communicator
interested in marketing, social media and event planning. Her innovative problem solving
and collaborative skills resulted in several successful events at the
University of Oregon such as coordinating two philanthropic fundraising events for her sorority to raise over $7,000 for a local domestic violence shelter.
She advanced her knowledge of marketing and organizing events
on campus through her internships with Fluent as a Student Promoter
representing Macy’s and the Victoria’s Secret PINK Street Team. Cristina developed social media strategies to promote Macy's through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. As an enthusiastic and influential college student, she planned marketing events weekly on campus such as mock photo shoots, scavenger hunts and a clothing drive to increase awareness about the Macy's brand and future contests. Cristina also connected with students on campus by promoting the PINK brand through marketing initiatives such as tabling and distributing PINK apparel.
Last term, she
took an event–planning course working with South Willamette Wineries
Association to create a social media strategy for its 11th Annual
Barrel Tour. This social media strategy created additional awareness and
increased participation for the event leading to record breaking funds raised
for this non-profit association.
